about t4t BODYWORK
Bodywork is a collaborative project between painter James Parker Foley and LMT Eben Smith. James' and Eben's shared goal is to provide affirming wellness experiences by and for trans people through offering no-cost massage therapy in safe, alternative spaces. Our first pop-up will be July 25th-27th, 2025 at James’ studio. This event will have 12 slots of 60 or 90 minutes, and will be available for anyone over the age of 18 who falls under the trans umbrella, including nonbinary, intersex, and genderqueer people. We love you!
Allies, if you’d like to financially support this work, please reach out to James directly. We love you!
Registration Information
Registration will open Monday, June 30th on this website. You’ll be asked to provide every date and time you can attend and then what your preferences are—it’ll be a little funky but it’s free and our budget is zero dollars. We’ll email you back with a confirmation of your date and time, and as we confirm availability we’ll remove those time slots from the registration.
I love bodywork so much. As a trans person, receiving massage was one of the first ways I was able to have a simple, pleasant experience in my body. It reminded me that I was sacred. I am honored to share this experience with other trans people.
Eben (he/him)
Using my space as a site of healing and support for other trans bodies feels like a logical expansion of my practice. Painting helps me see myself as I want to exist; it has enabled me to dream a new body for myself into being. I see my practice and Eben’s practice as two sides of the same coin—our work is grounded in bringing the body into alignment with the spirit, and while Eben’s work begins from the body side, my work begins from the spirit side. I’m excited to see what magic is possible by offering my work and space as a setting for his practice. I think together we will create a joyous wellness experience that centers and celebrates trans people.
